This week is a big week for the WGU community as we prepare to launch WGU Washington on Thursday – and the week kicked off first thing Monday morning with news in the Seattle Times and the Puget Sound Business Journal announcing the leader who will take the reins as WGU Washington Chancellor: Jean Floten, current President of Bellevue College.
The WGU community just keeps getting bigger. In fact, this month we’ve reached two major milestones: We now have 25,000 students, and more than 10,000 students have completed an online bachelor’s or master’s degree since WGU’s inception.
The flexibility of an online university means you can continue your education year-round without being stuck in the classroom all summer long. But this freedom can pose some challenges: How do you stay motivated to stick with your studies when outdoor fun beckons?
