WGU is Getting a Mascot

With more than 22,000 students in all 50 states seeking online degrees at WGU, we’ve decided it’s time to adopt a mascot. And we’re now inviting WGU students, alumni, staff, and friends like you to send us your ideas for a mascot. Here’s a little more information about what we’re looking for:

• Must reflect the values of Western Governors University
• Needs to be positive and friendly
• Should be an image that our students, alumni, and staff can relate to and identify with
• Must be easy to represent visually in artwork, on university-branded materials, and online
