| Strategic Leadership |
 |
|
WGU's online MBA in Strategic Leadership is specifically designed for graduates of the Air Force's Air War College Residence
Program or Non-Residence Program (NRP). You will develop sophisticated skills and knowledge across multiple business
disciplines coupled with the leadership training you obtained through the Air War College. The program prepares you for a
mid-level to upper-level management position in business, industry, and non-profit organizations. (The program is
not open to the general public.)
As an Air War College graduate, you will automatically clear three of the domains of knowledge: Strategy, Doctrine and
Leadership; International Security Studies; and Warfighting. The remaining subject area, Graduate-Level Business Core,
covers all the essential functional business expertise you will need to become a sought-after business executive.
WGU's challenging online MBA program is for Air Force officers who already possess "real world" leadership experience and
seek broader business skills. The program is flexible in two important ways. Individuals with existing competencies can
use knowledge they already possess to accelerate the time to completion. Plus, the online, mentored approach allows
you to incorporate a rigorous MBA program into your already busy schedule.
Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible for your
Certified MBA ® (CMBA) designationa nationally recognized acknowledgement of business
knowledge competence.

Time Required to Complete the Program
|
 |
|
|
Air War College NRP graduates can complete the program in about 1 year because they have already completed three domains. Progress is determined by passing the required assessments (not accumulating credits), so the time to completion varies from student to student.

"Competency-based…"
"One of the things that interested me the most about the program was the idea of the degree being competency-based. I had been working in the area of education technology for some time. I was excited to find a program that didn't require me to sit through classes in areas where I had already gained experience and knowledge."
