Does not lead to teacher licensure
WGU's B.A. in Educational Studies and Science teaches you the content knowledge related to secondary school science in chemistry, physics, biology, geosciences, or general science. The program does not include a supervised teaching practicum in a real classroom (student teaching) and therefore does not meet the requirements for initial teacher licensure. The program is for individuals who, for various reasons, want the academic knowledge that relates to teaching various science disciplines at the middle and/or high school level but who cannot or do not want to participate in a supervised real classroom practicum. (The normal programs which include the practicum can be found here.)
