WGU and WAFC: Partnering for Your Success

The Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) has partnered with Western Governors University (WGU). WAFC employess of member institutions can earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at WGU.   

WAFC's mission is to advance leadership through education, primarily through its Retail Management Certificate (RMC) program.  The RMC is a 24-25 credit certificate program taken at one of 150 partner community colleges across the nationwide.  WGU has articulated the RMC pathway into each Business Administration degree program.    

How You Can Transfer Your RMC Credits to WGU

WGU has transfer pathways for your RMC credits and other classes.  All courses transfer and are aligned with the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees. These transfer pathways are described in more detail here

Students who have completed an associate degree or higher or other college credits can follow the transfer pathway to the bachelor’s or master’s degrees. General community college pathways can be found here: partners.wgu.edu

Retail Management Certificate Graduates

Courses are articulated into WGU's business administration degree programs.

Associate Degree Graduates

Associate degree holders receive transfer credits for all general education courses.

Bachelor's Degree Graduates

Bachelor's degree holders generally meet all lower-division requirements. WGU’s master’s programs do not require the GRE or GMAT exams.

Students with Other Coursework

Students who have completed other coursework can have their transcripts evaluated for additional transfer of such as military and other ACE approved coursework. 

WGU Makes Earning your Degree Affordable

Associates of WAFC partner institutions may be eligible to receive generous tuition reimbursement benefits* each year. In addition, RMC graduates will receive a 5% discount on WGU tuition for up to four terms. With WGU’s low, flat-rate tuition, these benefits can cover a significant part of your tuition costs.

Associates of WAFC partners are also eligible to apply for the $2,500 Western Association of Food Chains Scholarship and many others. Scholarships are one of the many ways in which WGU removes obstacles from your path to achieving your education goals and improving your career opportunities.
