Tuition Assistance

VA and Military

Military Students

NOTICE:

Effective March 8, 2013, the Marines and Army have suspended active-duty tuition assistance programs indefinitely as a result of the federal budget sequestration. Both branches have indicated that no new awards will be funded; however, any course enrollments currently in progress or approved prior to the cut-off date will be honored. At this time it is unclear whether other branches of the military will follow. You can continue to access GI Bill benefits if applicable, Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) or Post 9/11 GI Bill, or use other funding sources (i.e. grants, scholarships, or state Tuition Assistance where available).

Please contact your local education centers with questions and to get updates. Updated information will also be posted to this website.

Tuition Assistance Programs with the Part-Time Option for Military Students

The following programs are currently available under the military part-time option. Undergraduate programs have been configured to allow service members to be enrolled in 5 to 8 competency units (CUs) during most terms (4 to 7 CUs for graduate programs), based upon their Degree Plan performance and with the support of their assigned mentors. (The part-time option is only available to active-duty service members.)

Your personal Degree Plan may vary based upon any waivers you receive in transfer for prior academic experience. Some terms may require full-time study. (Talk to an Enrollment Counselor for details.)
