Programs: In-depth information about WGU's academic programs is available on the university's Web site. |

Accreditation: Western
Governors University is the only university to have received simultaneous accreditation
by four regional accrediting commissions. Currently, WGU's "home" accrediting commission
is the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the same organization that
accredits such leading institutions as the University of Washington, University of Oregon,
University of Utah, BYU, and other public and private colleges. WGU is also nationally
accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
Disabled Student Services: WGU and its education providers make a good faith
effort to provide assistance and reasonable accommodations to students with
disabilities. |
Tuition: Tuition
is charged based on six month terms and
includes assessments, academic advising or mentoring, courses and other learning
resources as scheduled in the student's Academic Action Plan.
Program
Withdrawal and Tuition Refunds: You must contact your mentor if you
intend to withdraw from a WGU degree program. If you
receive financial aid from Western Governors University and then withdraw or stop
progress through the completion of the 60 percent point of the six-month academic period of
enrollment for which you were charged WGU tuition, you may be subject to repayment of a portion of the financial aid you receive for books, travel or
technology.
WGU Faculty and Academic Leadership: Information about WGU's faculty and
academic leaders is available on the university's Web site.
Satisfactory Academic
Progress (SAP): All students are required to maintain
satisfactory academic progress and make measurable progress toward a degree.
Satisfactory academic progress is measured both
qualitatively and quantitatively by reviewing the number of competency units
students complete each term.

the privacy of education records; to establish the right of students to inspect and review
their education records; and to provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or
misleading data through informal and formal hearings.
