| Spouses To Teachers Supplemental Scholarship |
 |
|
Western Governors University is pleased to offer the Spouses To Teachers Supplemental
Scholarship. These scholarships are designed to help spouses of active-duty military become teachers through
an online program leading to certification. WGU is now offering these scholarships to all military spouses in any location,
in addition to those military spouses who live in the 14 participating pilot states where the Spouses To
Teachers program is offered.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded. Scholarships will be awarded based upon a candidate’s academic record, readiness for online study, and current competency, plus other considerations. See eligibility requirements below.
The scholarship is valued up to $1,500. The scholarship will be credited to your account at the rate of $300 per six-month term.
Although WGU's competency-based model allows students to complete the requirements of a graduate program in less than
two and a half years, the scholarship awards are based on a reasonable experience of five six-month terms to complete your
program. Scholarships are also available for undergraduate teacher certification degree programs, distributed at the rate of
$300 per six-month term for the first five terms only. Scholarship funds are provided by WGU.

Financial Aid is Also Available
You may choose to pay for the remaining portion of your degree through federal financial aid (subject to your eligibility). Pell Grants,
which do not have to be repaid, are granted based upon financial need. Federal Direct Student Loans are available to all

feel free to speak to an Enrollment Counselor toll-free at 1-866-225-5948.

"Opened doors…"
"WGU has opened doors for me that I would not have been able to access without an extreme inconvenience for my family, my career, and myself."

"On my own time…"
"I chose WGU because of the freedom of doing the work on my own time and at my own pace. In the past, I had started master's programs twice through regular universities and found the class schedules impossible to fit into my schedule."

"Speed their licensure…"
WGU Teachers College will be a boon to states seeking training for current teachers and paraprofessionals to help them meet the education requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act and speed their licensure."
