Before becoming a licensed teacher in Delaware, you must meet all of Delaware’s teacher certification requirements, including:
- Graduation from a bachelor’s degree program at a regionally accredited college or university.
- Graduation from a teacher preparation program approved to lead to teacher certification in the home state of the program and that is accredited by NCATE or state-approved according to NCATE standards.
- Passing scores on an exam meeting the basic skills requirement.
- Passing scores on all of the required Praxis content exams.
