Become a Teacher in Guam

Before becoming a licensed teacher, you must meet all of Guam’s teacher certification requirements, including:

  • Guam requires all teacher certification candidates take and pass the Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Tests (PPST) in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics basic skills exam. You must pass all three sections within the first six months of entering the Foundations of Teaching (FOT) domain at WGU.
  • Passing scores on the applicable Praxis II Content Exams.
