An expert in the area of “attitude transformation,” Principal Kafele is the leading authority for providing effective classroom and school leadership strategies toward closing what he coined, the "attitude gap" — defined as, “the gap between those students who have the will to achieve excellence and those who do not.”

In his WGU Sage Talk, Principal Kafele will provide attendees with strategies for eliminating underachievement in classrooms and schools, and will explain how self-reflective questions for educators play an important part in student success.

The WGU lecture series, Sage Talks, is named after the university’s mascot, Sage the Night Owl, and has been created to provide personal and professional development, inspiration, and continuing education opportunities to the community. The series features leaders and innovators in fields represented by each of WGU’s four colleges: business, education, healthcare, and information technology. Lecture topics are centered on leadership, new innovations and disruptions, and how education shapes the future.
