Jennifer works as the manager of a suburban emergency hospital. She always wanted to be a nurse, but when she entered the workforce, she quickly realized how great the need was for nurses’ voices to be heard in administration.
She decided to chase a new goal of becoming a CNO or CEO of a hospital system and enrolled in a WGU MBA program.
But Jennifer’s path had to pause when when she was diagnosed with melanoma. With treatment and multiple surgeries, Jennifer had to take time off of work, expenses were high, and money was tight. A generous Hansen Scholarship from WGU helped keep an MBA in Jennifer’s sights, allowing her the time and space to breathe and re-dedicate herself to her family and finishing her degree.
