WGU is Getting a Mascot—Send Us Your Ideas

With more than 22,000 students in all 50 states, we’ve decided that it’s time for WGU to adopt a mascot. We have a few ideas, but we’d like to invite WGU students, alumni, staff, and friends to send us their ideas as well. Here’s a little more information about what we’re looking for:

  • Must reflect the values of Western Governors University
  • Needs to be positive and friendly
  • Should be an image that our students, alumni, and staff can relate to and identify with
  • Must be easy to represent visually in artwork, on university-branded materials, and online

If you’d like to submit an idea for the WGU mascot, please complete the form below and be sure to include a drawing that depicts your idea, even if it’s just a rough sketch. Submissions will be reviewed by a WGU management team, who will be responsible for final selection of the mascot. (Note: all ideas and drawings submitted to WGU will become the property of Western Governors University, and if selected, will be trademarked by WGU.)
