I came to WGU five years ago with a background in teaching, counseling, and life coaching. I am the Secondary Ed Graduation Coordinator in WGU’s online Teachers College. By my title, you might think I arrange the flowers and select the colors for the commencement ceremony, but someone else takes care of those important details.

In 1997, 19 U.S. governors signed articles of incorporation to create Western Governors University. On Saturday, July 12, U.S. Under Secretary of Education Ted Mitchell said that “pioneering spirit” could be found in the 5,541 graduates who were honored during our 2014 Summer Commencement.

I use a combination of mouse clicks and keystrokes when using my computer, which enables me to work as efficiently as possible. In some cases, using keystrokes is easier and quicker than using the mouse to access a dropdown menu from which I then have to select an option. For example, pressing CTRL + 1 is a more efficient way to single space my paragraph than clicking the Format menu and then drilling down to the spacing option.
