| WGU Scholarships for Designated Audiences |
Western Governors University is pleased to offer the WGU Scholarships for Designated Audiences. These scholarships are designed to help working adults attend college onlineon their schedules. These scholarships are restricted to specific audiences, normally because the donor has requested the funds be used in defined ways.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded. However, these are competitive programs
and scholarships will be awarded based upon a candidates academic record, readiness
for online study, and current competency, plus other considerations.

Kennecott Land Sustainable Community Scholarship
| | |
(also known as the Kennecott Excellence in Education Scholarship)
The scholarship is valued up to $5,000. Tuition is $ 2,890 for a six-month term. The scholarship will be credited to
your account at the rate of $1,000 per six-month term, leaving a balance of $1,790. Although WGU's competency-based model allows students to complete the
requirements of a master's degree in less than two and a half years, the scholarship awards are based on a
reasonable experience of five six-month terms to complete the program. Scholarships are awarded through the
generosity of Kennecott Land Corporation.

"Opened doors…"
"WGU has opened doors for me that I would not have been able to access without an extreme inconvenience for my family, my career, and myself."
| Connie Keogh, WGU graduate |
"On my own time…"
"I chose WGU because of the freedom of doing the work on my own time and at my own pace. In the past, I had started master's programs twice through regular universities and found the class schedules impossible to fit into my schedule."
| Dennis Nalder, WGU graduate student |
"Speed their licensure…"
WGU Teachers College will be a boon to states seeking training for current teachers and paraprofessionals to help them meet the education requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act and speed their licensure."
