WGU Alumni Ambassadors Advisory Board.

Advisory Board members are instrumental resources and consultants for WGU Alumni Ambassadors’ ability to provide regionally relevant and effective programs. They are charged with bolstering ambassador’s involvement and participation in areas that mirror WGU’s operating regions. This board consists of WGU alumni members with diverse backgrounds and experiences.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Meet quarterly to plan meetings, activities, and programs
  • Interview, approve, and train new ambassadors
  • Be familiar with WGU’s mission, promise, degree programs, and goals
  • Positively promote the work of the university and advocate for its interests
  • Make recommendations regarding programming or outreach as requested
  • Provide advice and support to WGU’s Alumni Relations team
  • Review agendas, minutes, and other documentation when distributed in order to stay familiar with the organization
  • Volunteer at WGU events, such as Commencement Weekend, and other local events 

Qualifications:

  • Has good visioning, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Is interested in helping support WGU’s mission and promise
  • Has a positive record of participation in Ambassador activities
