WESTERN GOVERNORS UNIVERSITY
Online Alumni Communities
Join Us and Fellow Night Owls Through Our Online Communities
Western Governors University offers a vibrant online alumni network that connects graduates across a wide range of industries and fields. These communities provide valuable resources—including career services, networking opportunities, and ongoing professional development.
By fostering camaraderie and lifelong learning, WGU’s alumni communities help graduates stay connected and continue to thrive long after graduation.
Ask A Grad
Ask A Grad is a micro-mentoring platform that connects Night Owls with real WGU graduates. Students can ask questions about degree programs, career outcomes, work-life balance, and more. Their questions are routed to graduates with relevant experience, offering a personal and authentic look into the WGU journey. See how it works.
As a WGU alum, you can both answer and ask questions. If a question lands in your inbox, consider replying—it’s a great way to give back and share your experience. You can also use the platform to connect with fellow graduates. With WGU alumni working across the country in thousands of industries and organizations, Ask A Grad is a valuable tool to tap into a broad network of shared knowledge and support.

B4 Women in Tech
WGU is committed to eliminating barriers that stand between learners and a quality education—which is why we’ve partnered with the Reboot Representation Tech Coalition to launch B4 Women in Tech.
This initiative helps make an accredited and affordable IT degree more accessible to Black, Latina, and Native American women who want to build or grow careers in technology.
As a graduate, you can volunteer to offer career guidance and professional support to a female student at WGU. In this role, you’ll help open doors and serve as a bridge builder on another Night Owl’s path to success.
