WGU Pride

WGU in the Seattle Pride Parade
Sunday June 26, 2022

We are pleased to share with you a great celebration for our wonderful LGBTQ+ community: WGU will be participating in a large-scale Pride event for the first time in the university’s history.

WGU will be walking in the 2022 Seattle Pride Parade on June 26th. In order to promote widespread support of the LGBTQ+ community, we invite you to join us on this day - bring your friends and family! To join us, please RSVP here.  An RSVP is required to participate.

Please gather at Marion Street and 4th Avenue at 12:30 PM, PT. Our position in the Parade is contingent 119 of 203. The parade begins moving at 11:00 AM from 4th/Pike, headed to Seattle Center. You should plan for the walk to take 2-3 hours once the group begins moving. There are more than 200 groups participating!

We will provide a rainbow feather boa and WGU rainbow sunglasses to all those walking in our parade contingent to help identify our group - and feel free to dress in your favorite rainbow/celebratory/WGU gear that day!

Participants in the Seattle Pride Parade are required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) taken within 48-hours of the parade start.
