​​The AMA (American Marketing Association) WGU Collegiate Student Chapter is a perfect opportunity for students. The Chapter provides leadership and networking opportunities, educational webinars, and other opportunities. The Chapter is student led and focuses on topics which are of interest to a wide variety of participants.

Executive Board & Advisors

Ashley Flynn, Primary Faculty Advisor

Ashley Flynn earned her BA in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and MBA with a focus on Marketing at Nova Southeastern University. She was one of the founding members for her AMA chapter when she was pursing her undergraduate program and held various student positions in the chapter as well as attend the AMA International Collegiate Conference. She is an experienced educator teaching online marketing classes and has a wealth of professional marketing and advertising experience with a focus on digital marketing from both a B2B and B2C standpoint. Ashley's experience includes working for national TV shows, e-commerce businesses as well a non-profit organization. She has always demonstrated a passion for marketing and higher education and loves nothing more than being able to share her passion with others. Ashley loves being part of WGU as a Senior Program Mentor and helping both undergraduate and graduate students follow their passion for marketing!

Lauren Bellflower, Faculty Advisor for Advertising and Promotions

Dr. Lauren Bellflower (she/her) holds a PhD in Business with a Marketing concentration from University of the Cumberlands, a Masters of Science in Marketing and Communications, and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Franklin University. Her dissertation focuses on how to teach for the future of the marketing discipline. She is additionally pursuing a Masters of Education in Education Technology and Instructional design from WGU. She has served as an Instructor for WGU since April 2022 and has been teaching adult learners since 2019. She is a first-generation college graduate and is passionate about getting students excited for marketing in a way that connects the coursework to their own lives. She has worked in a variety of marketing positions including roles with a financial firm, corporate real estate, and with a marketing agency. She also has a history of community building within various roles with her sorority, Delta Zeta, as well as creating and running the Music City Young Professionals. She has been an AMA member since 2014. She served as Vice President of membership during her time at Franklin University. Currently, she is a local member of the Nashville chapter. Lauren values her experience and connections she has made through AMA and hopes students will do the same.

Tara Lale, Faculty Advisor for Programming and Events

Tara is a Senior Program Mentor in the School of Business and specializes in supporting undergraduate and graduate students in Marketing. She has a background in teaching, counseling, and as a leader in the community. Tara has earned her Master in Business Administration and her Master of Science in Management and Leadership at WGU.  Tara is excited to bring her passion and positivity along with her skills of communication, planning, innovation, and coordination to the role.  At WGU, Tara champions several initiatives and is passionate about leading the charge to help students become as successful as possible.  Outside of WGU, she volunteers as a career coach, hospitality director at a non-profit, and devotes time on several non-profit boards to advise on direction and marketing. Tara loves using her strategic thinking and organizational skills to host large gatherings and direct large events for her community, as well.  She is passionate about helping others reach their full potential and provide pathways to advance others in their careers. She knows AMA does this very well and is excited to collaborate on networking opportunities, event planning, and helping others increase their knowledge of the marketing industry.
