WESTERN GOVERNORS UNIVERSITY

Alumni Communities, Chapters, and Honor Societies

Join Fellow Night Owls Through These Online Communities

WGU offers a vibrant online alumni network that connects graduates across a wide range of industries and fields. These communities provide valuable resources—including career services, networking opportunities, and ongoing professional development.

By fostering camaraderie and lifelong learning, WGU’s alumni communities help graduates stay connected and continue to thrive long after graduation.

Ask A Grad

Ask A Grad is a micro-mentoring platform that connects Night Owls with real WGU graduates. Students can ask questions about degree programs, career outcomes, work-life balance, and more. Their questions are routed to graduates with relevant experience, offering a personal and authentic look into the WGU journey. See how it works.

As a WGU alum, you can both answer and ask questions. If a question lands in your inbox, consider replying—it’s a great way to give back and share your experience. You can also use the platform to connect with fellow graduates. With WGU alumni working across the country in thousands of industries and organizations, Ask A Grad is a valuable tool to tap into a broad network of shared knowledge and support.

WGU Connect

WGU Connect continues to be an essential part of the student experience—and now, it’s just as valuable for alumni. With vibrant communities like the Alumni Network and the Career and Professional Development group, this platform helps graduates stay engaged, grow their networks, and support the next generation of Night Owls.

  • Alumni: Share your experiences, offer advice, connect with peers, and explore opportunities. Whether you're looking to mentor others or expand your own professional circle, the Alumni Group is your space to stay involved.
  • Career: Tap into career conversations, job-search strategies, and industry insights. The Career Group offers ongoing support and resources to help you grow, no matter where you are in your professional journey.

WGU Connect was a key part of your success as a student—now, it’s your launchpad for continued connection and career development. Log in, join the conversation, and keep the Night Owl network strong!

The Owl's Nest

Just because you’ve graduated doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! The Owl’s Nest is still your place to connect, earn rewards, and stay active in the WGU community.

Alumni can continue to complete challenges, participate in fun activities, and earn daily bonus points—just like during your student days. Those points add up fast and can be redeemed at the WGU Store for awesome free swag!

You can also take advantage of the WGU Refer-a-Friend program to help others start their own WGU journey. Use your personal referral link or share your story directly through the form on your Owl’s Nest profile.

Stay connected, have fun, and keep racking up those rewards—you’ve earned it! Questions? Email owlsnest@wgu.edu.
