Education is the foundation of a strong workforce. That’s especially true in communities across Big Sky Country, and it’s why Gov. Gianforte established a statewide partnership with WGU. By including WGU among the state’s family of outstanding colleges and universities, Montanans have increased access to high-quality, low-cost degree programs – and the skills and knowledge employers demand. And because WGU is committed to improving lives through the power of education, the online, nonprofit university offers an exclusive scholarship opportunity for new students and recent graduates in Montana.
Called the WGU Montana Workforce Scholarship, it helps more residents go back to school and, ultimately, ensure Montana remains a great place to live, work, and raise families. Valued up to $4,000, as many as 100 scholarships will be awarded. Scholarship recipients will receive up to $1,000 per six-month term, renewable up to four terms.
