Meet the Speaker:

Greg Martin
October 23, 2025 Speaker

Greg Martin is an experienced professional with a diverse background in both military service and academia. After serving seven years in the Army, he earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and subsequently worked as a mathematician and test engineer for the Department of the Navy. While in this role, he completed his Master’s in Engineering Management, finishing his studies during a deployment in Iraq where he supported systems integration efforts.

With over 13 years of experience in data, systems, and business analytics, Greg has held various positions in these fields and has taught part-time in business, IT, and data analytics programs. He joined WGU as a full-time faculty member last year, where he teaches multiple courses in the Data Analytics program. Greg is also a doctoral candidate pursuing a DBA in Project Management, currently working on his dissertation.

Students will submit a Microsoft Form with a statement self-certifying their participation in each of the Leadership Series Sessions for the year. The form will be available to input information on April 24, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. MT. (Preview Form Here) The form will provide space to write a one-page reflection. The Women in Technology faculty support team will review the reflection for acceptance. Students must submit the reflections by 10:00 p.m. MT on May 31, 2026. Submitted reflections will be reviewed, and participants will receive a notification within 7 business days confirming whether their submission was successfully received and meets the requirement. Names will be submitted for credentialing no later than June 15, 2026.

This award is open to all active students in the School of Technology.

You will be allowed one opportunity to resubmit by May 31, 2026. Keep this deadline in mind when you submit your reflection. Seven business days are needed to review submissions. You may want to submit your reflection no later than May 15, 2026, to allow for a revision. 

The reflection will include at least one item learned from the sessions that helped refine the participant’s growth in overcoming self-doubt, cultivating positive expectations about the future, setting personal and professional boundaries, and cultivating a winning mindset. The reflection must focus on how participants have grown professionally due to learnings from the Leadership Development series.

The form is available here and will be active beginning April 24, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. MT. You may preview a pdf version of the form here. Submissions must be made via the MS Office form and will not be accepted if submitted otherwise.
