ReNEW Employer Partners

Developing the nurses of tomorrow.

Your Impact as a ReNEW Employer Partner

As a ReNEW Employer Partner, you strengthen your nursing workforce by building a more consistent pipeline of qualified, committed professionals. By helping remove financial barriers for students, you expand access to talent and fill hard-to-hire roles more efficiently. With ReNEW, your organization can:

  • Create upskilling opportunities for employees aspiring to become RNs
  • Help new BSN RNs launch their careers and build employer loyalty
  • Build a more consistent nurse pipeline
  • Fill critical staffing gaps
  • Improve nurse retention
  • Reduce turnover-related disruptions
  • Strengthen internal talent pathways
  • Elevate your reputation as an employer of choice
  • Invest in a workforce that reflects your communities
  • Reduce costs and save money
  • Possibly qualify for tax-advantaged educational assistance under IRC § 127 (employers should consult their tax advisors)

Your contributions to the Fund truly make a difference. Thank you for your continued partnership.

Building a Local Talent Pipeline

WGU’s flexible, hybrid BSN Prelicensure program is expanding across the U.S., producing graduates to help fill local nursing shortages. The ReNEW Fund supports students who would otherwise face financial barriers to pursuing nursing degrees by offering zero-interest loans.

Addressing Critical Talent Shortages

With over 110,000 lifetime graduates nationwide, WGU’s Leavitt School of Health is recognized as an important healthcare education leader and talent provider. With support from the Fund, WGU aims to prepare thousands of additional nursing graduates.

"As an employer, first and foremost, the ReNEW Fund is mission aligned and it solves a problem for us. When we look at risk and reward, it’s all reward for us. These students have gone through a verified program. They are skilled, they are licensed, and they are ready to start day one. All we have to do is pay back the loan into the Fund and that is reinvested in more WGU students.”
