OVERVIEW
Build the Skills to Work with AI Systems
AI is changing how work gets done, but understanding it isn't the same as being able to implement it.
WGU’s Bachelor of Science in AI Engineering is built to help you do both.
This online artificial intelligence engineering degree goes beyond theory, teaching you how to apply AI in real-world environments. You’ll learn how to build AI-enabled applications, deploy models into production, and manage the systems that keep them running at scale.
Instead of focusing on isolated experiments or concepts, this program is centered on how AI actually works in practice—inside software, systems, and infrastructure. By the time you graduate, you’ll be prepared to contribute to AI projects where the goal isn’t just understanding the technology but putting it to work.
You’ll Learn How To:
- Design and deploy AI and machine learning systems
- Integrate AI into real-world applications
- Build scalable AI infrastructure and pipelines
- Automate workflows and optimize performance
- Apply ethical AI and governance principles
- Work across software, data, and cloud environments
