These estimates do not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance or a final net price; they are only estimates based on cost of attendance and financial aid provided to students in 2016-17. Cost of attendance and financial aid availability change year to year. These estimates shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, the institution of higher education, or the State.
Not all students receive financial aid. In 2016-17, 100% of our full-time students enrolling for college for the first time received grant/scholarship aid. Students may also be eligible for student loans and work-study. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine their eligibility for Federal financial aid that includes Federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance. For more information on applying for Federal student aid, go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. The WGU Financial Aid Office can answer more specific questions about your personal situation once you have completed the FASFA. The Financial Aid Office can be reached by email at email@example.com or by calling 1-877-435-7948. Additional information can be found at www.wgu.edu/tuition_financial_aid/financial_aid.
WGU offers six-month terms and allows students to start on the first of any month, once all application and enrollment requirements have been met. WGU treats all students as “full-time” and charges tuition at a flat rate regardless of the number of competency units (equivalent to credit units) attempted or completed by the student. Full time enrollment means that undergraduate (bachelor’s) students are expected to complete 12 competency units per term and graduate (master’s) students are expected to complete 8 competency units per term. Unlike other schools, WGU students are never charged per course or per credit.
