As senior director for General Education at WGU, Angie Napper Walker drives the vision and academic strategy that supports undergraduate programs across all four of the university’s schools. She is responsible for transforming the General Education experience by driving skills-first, real-world learning opportunities that empower students for lifelong success in their careers and personal lives.
With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, Angie has held diverse roles as an academic leader, project manager, assessment and instructional designer, faculty member, and consultant. Her passion for education and its transformative impact on students has been the guiding force throughout her career.
Angie is also committed to advancing women in leadership. She served for eight years on the Utah Women in Higher Education Network's state board of directors, including a term as Board Chair, actively supporting women’s professional growth and representation in higher education.
