Dr. Jeff D. Borden

Western Governors University Senior Vice President and Executive Dean of the School of Education

Dr. Borden is an award-winning educator, executive leader, and innovator with more than three decades of experience in higher education, K-12, and organizational learning.

A recognized thought leader in learning science, leadership, and education technology, he has delivered more than 90 keynotes and thousands of workshops across 43 countries and has authored scholarly and popular works on Education 3.0, eLearning across modalities, innovation, and neuroscience. Dr. Borden has advised governments, universities, and nonprofits on student success strategies, and his work blends research, data-driven decision-making, and creative design to foster whole-learner development and institutional transformation.

Dr. Borden’s career includes leadership roles with Gonzaga University, National University, Saint Leo University, Pearson, and D2L, as well as founding the Institute for Inter-Connected Education. He has developed the award-winning “Next Generation Learning Systems,” created innovative academic programs, and led multimillion-dollar grant and partnership initiatives.
