If you’re looking to change careers, talk with other professionals and mentors in that field to understand what experience would be helpful as you pursue a degree program.
Consider past experiences – Contact your previous higher-education institutions to request copies of your transcripts; your new school will likely review the information to determine how many of your prior academic credits it will accept.
Pay attention to finances – The financial burden of a degree can often be the main reason adults decide against pursuing higher education. Be sure to review costs associated with applying to and paying for school: fees, books, housing, and other costs.
