The Sophisticated Southeastern Region has a long and rich history of excellence within the archives of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., as do the women who have led the region since its inception in 1939. The Southeastern Region is comprised of the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, the beautiful Bahamas, and the serene Virgin Islands. The regional executive board prides itself on leading the largest region within the sorority. Many members from the Southeastern Region go on to charter new chapters, chair national committees, and even become the International Grand Basileus!
