Obtaining my BSCSIA at WGU was a great experience. Being able to accelerate the courses that I already knew and taking my time on material that I didn't know was critical. The return on investment for this degree was worth it. I don't have a mountain of student loan debt at the end of my terms. It's very manageable.

Earn certs along the way, get promoted... Profit!

Western Governors University has greatly propelled my career within my company. I began as a low level operations technician. I was told I needed a degree to advance to any position. Within a year of starting WGU, I earned several certifications that allowed me to advance to higher positions. I changed my role to a Systems Administrator on a complex project. Continuing my WGU degree path, I earned several more certifications that allowed me to be promoted into a Senior Systems Administrator position as a manager. Now that I have earned by degree along with the certifications, I am now a Principle Cyber Security Engineer in a leadership role. My pay in the last 4 years has greatly increased thanks to the certifications earned along the way. I am very thankful to WGU and their style of education!
