Probation officer boosts her career with a WGU Indiana degree.

Dec 31, 2018

WGU Indiana alumna Naara Olivero’s natural leadership abilities and heart for people surfaced early. As a young woman, she sensed a calling on her life and career that led her to pursue a career in the criminal justice system. Her role as probation officer for the Juvenile Division of the Superior Court of Lake County, Indiana draws on her talents and her desire to make a positive difference in the world.

With a successful career well underway, Olivero decided to continue her education by completing a master’s degree. WGU’s M.S. in Management and Leadership (MSML) fit her needs and a scholarship award made the already affordable degree program even more feasible. With her family’s support, Olivero added studies to her busy life that includes career, community service and family. She completed her degree and walked at the 2018 WGU commencement ceremony in Indianapolis, with her immediate and extended family attending to support and congratulate her on her achievement. Watch Olivero’s inspiring story to learn how her graduate degree helped this natural leader enhance her abilities and encourage young people to pursue their educational dreams, too.
