WGU Appoints Kimberly Wolfe as Southeast Regional Director for Advancement
NASHVILLE – Online, nonprofit, accredited Western Governors University (WGU) has appointed Kimberly Wolfe as a Regional Director for Advancement for the Southeast region, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
In her new role, Wolfe will develop and manage donor relationships and help individuals and organizational donors support WGU students through investments in scholarship support and financial aid.
Wolfe comes to WGU with over a decade of experience in foundation relations for businesses and universities in the Southeast region. Most recently, Wolfe worked as the Director of Development at Birmingham-Southern College. During her 14 months in the position, she raised more than $520,000 and managed a portfolio of 125 prospects and donors.

Estep, Vice President of WGU’s Southeast region. “Kimberly’s background and experience will be extremely valuable as we continue to work toward expanding access to high-quality, affordable higher education for working adults across the Southeast.”
Wolfe holds a B.A. degree in English from Huntingdon College, is a graduate of Boston College’s Tanglewood Institute, and is certified as a major gifts officer from the Veritus Group. She recently relocated from Birmingham, Ala., to the Nashville area and will work out of WGU’s Franklin, Tenn., office.
