Dr. Bryan J. Hosack

Panelist

Bryan J. Hosack has worked and consulted in a variety of IT areas across a broad range of industries and currently works as a data scientist in the logistics industry. Previously, he taught and conducted research across a variety of IS and Computing subjects at Illinois State University. Dr. Hosack has published in journals such as the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Decision Support Systems and Journal of Midwest Association for Information Systems, among others, and continues to be active as an editor and reviewer for several journals. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Florida State University with a focus in statistics and research.

Meredyth Given

Panelist

Meredyth Given is the Director of Product for Reporting and Analytics at MedBridge. MedBridge is a software platform that provides clinical education and patient engagement solutions to healthcare organizations and individual providers. Meredyth came to MedBridge after 15 years in education management, where she focused on delivering educational outcomes. In her education career, she developed reporting and analytic frameworks for decision-making and education operations. At MedBridge, she has successfully recently implemented the organization's internal outcomes monitoring data projects. Additionally, her team launched the first embedded Tableau dashboards on the MedBridge web application. Her team's current goals are to identify and deliver analytic ecosystems that support value-based care models.

Dr. Maksim Tsvetovat

Dr. Maksim Tsvetovat has received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science. He's an adjunct associate professor of Computational Social Science at George Mason University, and in this capacity has taught courses on machine learning, social network analysis, big data analytics and data analysis for national security, and published over 50 peer-reviewed papers. Dr. Tsvetovat is the author of "Social Network Analysis for Startups" -- O'Reilly Publishers, 2011 In 2009, Maksim has co-founded Deep Mile Networks, a data science consultancy that has worked with major brands including Delta Airlines, American Express, and Samsung. In 2013, Maksim has founded Open Health Network, a startup company dedicated to the premise of open data as a disruptive technology in healthcare. He has also worked as a data science and machine learning consultant to the industry, helping his clients take advanced analytics solutions from an idea to a deployed production system.

Dr. Naguib Attia

Dr. Naguib Attia is a Distinguished Engineer and VP of IBM Global University Programs. He is responsible for setting up IBM academic relations strategy, creating next generation global technical training programs in collaboration with universities, research institutions, and manage the overall award programs budgets. Previously, Dr. Attia was the VP& CTO of IBM Middle East and Africa. He was responsible for inventing and leading technical solutions for MEA as well as leading the Africa Skills Initiative. With over twenty-five years of industrial, manufacturing, research and academic experience, Dr. Attia has contributed to shape the development of IBM’s intellectual capital, industry insights, and overall solution portfolio for IBM. His specializations include Cloud, Business Analytics, Security, and Supply Chain optimization. Dr. Attia has a rich academic background with assignments from Chair, Computer Science Departments of Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC, The American University in Cairo, Egypt and University of Essex, England. He has actively published several papers in different journals and has presented papers and lectures at many international conferences. Dr. Attia Naguib was the chair of Aerospace Industry Association (AiA) Technical group, a Senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society (IEEE), member of ChemIT, and other industry organizations Dr Attia holds a Ph.D. Computer Science from University of Essex, England.
