RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – WGU North Carolina, an affiliate of the competency-based nonprofit Western Governors University, has announced the hiring of Tenita Philyaw-Rogers as Strategic Partnerships Manager. In this role, she will serve as WGU’s liaison to the North Carolina Community College System, forging partnerships to help students transition from an associate degree to a bachelor’s degree and beyond.

Serving most recently as a consultant, Philyaw-Rogers has more than 14 years of experience in higher education, including serving as Director of Transfer Articulation for the University of North Carolina System and Director of Transfer Services for North Carolina Central University.
