COURSES
Advanced Data Analytics and Coding Certificate Courses
The Advanced Data Analytics and Coding Certificate includes four courses that cover the data analytics workflow from start to finish: pulling and cleaning data, analyzing it with code, presenting what you find, and applying AI effectively and responsibly.
Course Structure
This is a self-directed online program that includes interactive lessons, hands-on practice, performance assessments, and certification exams. You will progress by demonstrating what you know, not by spending a required amount of time in class.
The 4 courses in this program are:
In this course, you’ll build proficiency in SQL, a key language for working with data. Using PostgreSQL, you’ll extract, join, aggregate, validate, and clean data, then calculate metrics, apply statistical concepts for hypothesis testing, and create visualizations to communicate your results.
The course covers topics such as filtering and summarizing data, joining multiple tables, writing subqueries and window functions, conducting exploratory analysis, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
In this course, you’ll build proficiency in Python, starting with core programming concepts and moving into the tools that analysts use every day. You’ll use pandas to clean, transform, and join datasets, and apply NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn to explore and visualize data. You’ll also use statistical methods such as sampling and hypothesis testing to evaluate your findings.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to take a raw dataset through cleaning, analysis, and visualization, and you’ll be able to explain your results.
In this course, you’ll learn Power BI, a widely used business intelligence and analytics tool. You’ll prepare data with Power Query, model it and write calculations with DAX, explore trends, and build interactive reports and dashboards you can publish and share. Along the way, you’ll practice choosing visualizations that fit your audience and make your findings easy to act on.
In this course, you’ll learn how to use AI as a strategic tool in data analytics. You’ll move beyond simple prompt engineering to evaluate AI applications and prompts, prepare data using AI-assisted techniques, and create insights and visualizations with AI-assisted analytics tools.
You’ll also examine the ethics, governance, quality, and risks of using AI at work so you can practice responsible use and justify appropriate AI practices.
