Bob Benson is Regional Director for Western Governors University (WGU), where he leads initiatives to expand access to affordable, flexible, and workforce-aligned education across the region. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, he has held senior leadership roles at National University, including Vice President of International Affairs, President of Spectrum Pacific Learning, and Vice President of Extended Learning. He also served as Director of Service & Civic Leadership at UC San Diego Extension, Program Manager at the California Office of Binational Border Health, and Manager of UCSD CONNECT, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
