Dalila Duarte is the Midwest Regional Director for Western Governors University, where she oversees and advances WGU’s initiatives across the Midwestern states, including Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa.

Over the course of her career, Dalila has dedicated herself to serving tomorrow’s leaders in both public and charter school settings across the country. From a 3-year-old in Nashville to a first-generation college student in Chicago striving to achieve her professional goals, Dalila has seen firsthand the transformational power of education. As the daughter of immigrant parents, Dalila also understands the sense of urgency behind creating accessible, personal, and equitable educational opportunities for students. As the Midwest Regional Director, Dalila is invested in advancing the impact of WGU alongside the Midwest team by nurturing and building partnerships that create pathways of transformational change in each student’s life.
