With over 20 years of experience in software technology leadership, including 8 years as a Chief Technology Officer in both venture-backed and established companies. Paul blends deep technical expertise with a sharp eye for business strategy.

His leadership spans Software Engineering, Product, AI/ML, DevOps, and Cloud Infrastructure & Security across Azure and AWS. Paul holds a PhD in Economics, with specializations in the labor market, statistics and consumer behavior on platforms. Paul is passionate about workforce development and is excited about WGU’s mission to train and upskill, especially those furthest from opportunity.

Outside of work, Paul does some of his best thinking while hiking and cycling along Utah’s Wasatch Front.
