Sandra Sjoberg

Vice President and Dean for the School of Business at Western Governors University

Dr. Sandra Sjoberg is currently vice president and dean of academic programs in the School of Business at Western Governors University and has been with the institution since 2017. Previously, she held the roles of associate dean & director, marketing program chair and course faculty.

For 12 years, Sjoberg worked at Mount St. Mary’s University where she taught marketing and business strategy and served as the director of the BB&T Center for the Study of the Moral Foundations of Capitalism. Sjoberg developed an international marketing program of team-teaching and short-term study abroad programs with South Ural State University in Chelyabinsk Russia. She authored a Fulbright grant and brought the first Fulbright Scholar to Mount St. Mary’s University Bolte School of Business. She also founded and advised the award-winning Enactus team (formerly SIFE), providing students with real-world experiences to solve business problems through entrepreneurial projects and community partnerships.

Prior to academia, Sjoberg spent 16 years in the consumer products industry with Newell Rubbermaid, The Coca-Cola Company, and Kraft Foods.

Sjoberg holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Accounting from Vanderbilt University. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance from the University of Baltimore and holds industry certifications with Digital Marketing Institute and Online Marketing Certified Professionals.
