Taylor Hansen

Hansen is a higher education and workforce leader with more than 18 years of experience spanning federal policy, innovation networks, digital credentials, and cross-sector partnerships.

A recognized leader in skills-based hiring and Learning and Employment Records, Hansen leads WGU’s university-wide strategy, partnerships, and ecosystem development for the Achievement Wallet, WGU’s student-owned record of verified skills, credentials, and experiences. His work focuses on building trusted, portable credentials that strengthen connections between education and employment and give learners greater ownership of how they communicate their skills and achievements.

Before joining WGU, Hansen led the T3 Innovation Network at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a national public-private initiative focused on advancing data standards and digital infrastructure for skills-based hiring and Learning and Employment Records. He also served as a senior advisor to the Presidents Forum, where he led the Blockchain Innovation Challenge in partnership with the American Council on Education and the U.S. Department of Education.

Hansen’s career also includes work with the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce, where he advised on higher education and workforce policy, as well as leadership roles with the Center for Education Reform, Career Education Colleges and Universities, the Institute for Global Futures, and the Marwood Group.
