WGU North Carolina Offering $50K in Scholarships to Employees of Charter Communications’ Whitehall Office

Up to 25 $2K scholarships available for bachelor’s degrees in business and I.T.

CHARLOTTE — WGU North Carolina, the state affiliate of the national online nonprofit Western Governors University, has created a new scholarship program specifically for staff at Charter Communications’ office on Whitehall Park Drive. Employees can apply for one of 25 Whitehall SMB Customer Operations Scholarships valued at $2,000 to pursue bachelor’s degrees in business management or information technology through WGU. 

The scholarships will be dispersed in $500 credits per six-month term, renewable for up to four terms. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:

  • Currently work within SMB Customer Operations at Charter’s Whitehall facility
  • Be in production (training completed)
  • Complete an application for admission
  • Complete a scholarship application
  • Submit official transcripts of all prior college work
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Be officially admitted to WGU North Carolina

The deadline to apply for the Whitehall SMB Customer Operations Scholarships is June 30, 2019.  More information can be found at www.wgu.edu/whitehall

WGU is an accredited online university offering more than 60 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The university has more than 115,000 students enrolled nationwide, including about 3,000 in North Carolina. Tuition is around $3,225 per six-month term for most degree programs.
